Give It A Name
Saturday:
Me, Nils and mt dad arrived at Sheffield arena at around 1pm when we went in we had missed like, two shitty local bands and 'The Color Fred' was about to come on. We realised ,as 'Four Year Strong' went off, that the crowd moved out to go to the toilet or get drinks after almost every set. The Color Fred seemed like quite an enjoyable band, Nils thought the drummer was pretty cool. We didn't think much of the band on next Envy on the coast I'm thinking maybe they're like alot of bands I've seen when they're better on the albums then they are live. So I may check them out again. I quite liked State Radio and Strike Anywhere they had a nice sound to them. You Me at Six were on after those two bands I liked them too even though I couldn't hear half of their songs. >: D When they had finished we all shoved past each other to the B stage to see Welsh Band The Blackout they had the familiar start of the whole room chanting 'We are the Dynamite!' over and over again. They had some of the best quotes of the night.

I'm always amused by him. Sean: we like comments... Like 'We hate you... especially the gay one with the blonde hair' not many people knew all the words. Just small sections of each song. By the Time the Blackout went off I was near the front but stuck there so the A stage was no longer visible. Never the less I loved 'Armor for sleep', 'Silverstein' and 'Anti Flag' I stood with some nice guys. Paul ,he was from sheffield and smiled at me a lot, and Ross and Michael they came all the way from Scotland and Ross had the Most amazing Fro Ever. They were all super nice. Billy Talent were also amazing I didn't know ANY of the words but they were still amazing. Thirty seconds to mars were afterwards. There was a Hugggggge Break when we had to wait for their backdrop and set to be laid out properly. I took this time to get as close to the front as I was gonna get... which was pretty close. They had an amazing set, they were like a bunch of Dayglow ninjas, My glowsticks almost matched the colours of their makeup. They played beautifully and so energetically. Jared Leto was bounding all over the place even in the audience, running round in circles onstage but also singing perfectly. They all left the stage for a while and gave the audience a 'What The Fuck!?!' Moment. Jared Leto then entered the stage with his acoustic guitar and played song dedicated to all the people who had been affected by "the great catastrophe" all of us up front joined hands and swayed along to the touching music. Jared then asked if they could play one more song to which the audience replied with great cheers. He broke out with an acoustic version of 'The Kill' then left the stage, Giving the audience another 'What the fuck moment' little did they know seconds later the rest of Thirty Seconds to Mars came out holding their umbrellas. The Drummer, Shannon Leto, re-entered wearing a kilt to which one fan shouted 'Take Yer Kilt off'. Once they were back in place they broke out again with 'The Kill' Jared told everyone to make a particular sign with their hands then accepted them all into the Thirty Seconds to Mars Family. He thanked us all for showing up, told everyone he loved them and left the stage with the rest of the band. I went outside and bought a 30 seconds to mars poster whilst still claiming that Jared Leto was like A hamster on crack
Give it a Name Sunday
Me, Nils, my dad and My mum all arrived at about 3 on that day. I met Jem, Dani and Emma I had met Jem and Dani the day before. We arrived when MC Lars were on. Since I was with friends I followed them in and out of crowds and circle pits, we also took the piss out of this scene slag who's 2 step looked like she was playing golf! We stood and watched Cobra Starship who I instantly fell in love with. I found them amazing they claimed to be like the american Hadouken, but less funny. I am definatley going to check them out again. We went to the Loo's or to sit outside or to get drinks after almost every set. We didn't pay much attention to My American Heart I vaguely remember them sounding alright-ish. We pushed to the front for the next couple of bands (of which I did get photo's of ) we went into some circle pits for Fiiiiiiiiiiinch and we went into the loo's for the audition. When my idols ALKALINE fuckin' TRIO came on we pushed and shoved as hard as we could and found michael from saturday. He was nice enough to get some photo's and a video for me cause he's rather alot taller than me. They Started with Private Eye, and between they had one of their new songs, Time to Waste, I Lied My Face Off, This could be love and they ended with Radio of which Matt Skiba fucked up the lyrics and made us think we'd sung it wrong! There was a break when we got out and sat outside for aggggggges! We did catch some of The Plain White T's there were some pisstake pits they were mint! we did the can can, skipped round, crouched down low and slow danced with each other it was well fun! There was also a conga line that I filmed from we went round a couple of times t'was well good. When Paramore came on we started our own pit cause we were no where near one and we found Rossssss and his fro! There was jumping, screaming, and a lot of hayley look a like's I filmed misery business because it was their last song and when we were leaving I found paul from saturday and gave him a bigggggg hug! he had no idea who I was. :3 it was still good... me and Emma had 'Skiba Hunting' written down our arms... we didn't catch one though. XD
I'll probably update on this soon cause it's too late for me to think. *_*
